An adventure

The best thing that has ever happened to me was a house boating trip to Lake Powell, AZ. It is a beautiful place with high red rocks structures on either sides of the lake. The first day we got the houseboat and started a journey that would last a week. That night we found a resting spot after having fun with the jet skis that we rented also. The second day we had traveled further and found out that some of the best places to park the boat for the night may not be the best spots. On the third day we saw Rainbow Bridge which is a natural structure that has fromed over the years. it is more than seventy feet tall and has a spand of about two hundred and fifty feet. The third day we got stuck in the mud when we woke up that morning and we there all day until the late afternoon. A rescue boat came and got us out of the mud and we had to refuel the boat which happened to be right next to the place that we got stuck. That night we parked the boat again and had some relaxing time to spend with the family. The next morning on day four, we got stuck again but it was in a small rock that didn't let the boat move. A private boat came and got us out and we continued to the last stop which was perfect. The last night we stayed in the best spot of the week. It had a two foot section then it dropped of to eighty feet when you were in the back of the boat. Then a storm came in causing ones of the lines to have a lot of tension. My dad went out into the beach and piled sand on top of the anchor to give it more weight. The next morning the boat slid right off the place that we were parked when we pulled off. The last day was all travel back to the marina to return the boat. After we got to the marina we had a long trip back to the airport  in Phoenix, AZ. It was a long five hour drive back to the hotel before we got onto the plane the next day. On the way to the hotel we saw many storms that were in the area and many beautiful rock structures that we saw. I will miss the trip and I hope maybe some day our family can go back there again in the future. This is considered one of the best adventures that I have taken for a whole week.

Christmas Break

In the wintertime, their is this thing that many refer to as Christmas Break. Everyone looks forward to it every year because it is a time when we get to have some time off after being in school for a while. This for me means that I get to sleep in and not having to worry about going to school for a week. It happened to me this way because I had no more projects to worry about or any essays to write for school. The only thing that was required was to write up lab reports for Physics, but that was about it. It was nice while I had the time off and got to enjoy it with my brother and my family. Then it came along to New Years Day and I could believe that it was a new year already. It just seemed like the break was just yesterday. I got to gather with my family and friends at my grandmother's house and it was a lot of fun. Playing games and awaiting the drop for the 2013 ball that they have in New York City every year. When the balls was dropped for the new year I knew that there was only one day left of this Christmas Break and that there was school the next day. Then school came the next day I got to see all of my friends after that long break that we had this year.

Hard studying in School

Every single year there are these things that are called midterms and finals. These are not my favorite thing to study for. It can be challenging to study for them because their is so much information that is given to you in the first two quarters. All of that information runs through my mind and it can be sometimes difficult to get the main idea out of what you are reading. It is also long hours that you have to put into it and it is just something that I do not look forward to. After all of the midterms are over it is a big relief when the person announces that we can go home now. A long day, even know that is was only about five hours actually in school. Then the next thing that comes along and that is finals. Again it can be challenging to study for these as well. Some teachers decide that the finals are going to be a test that will be on everything that was accomplished that year. Tis has never happened to me and I don't want it to happen. It's even harder for those because their is twice the amount of information to take in. But after they are all over we get to go home for the summer and get to relax once again without having to worry about any of these things anymore. Then I prepare for the next school year and do this all over again through high school and college. This indeed can be hard to study for.

A Christmas not to forget

I woke up on Christmas Day around 8:00. All excited to see what gifts I had gotten for this year. It started off with me opening all of the wonderful essentials that were needed for everyday use that were found in my stocking. Then it came to the fun part of opening all of the rest of the gifts that were sitting around the tree. I opened the first box and it was a new sweat shirt that I was asking for this year. Then a ciuple of gift cards to use at some of the various places that I go to. In that list was Itunes, Starbucks, and a Visa gift card. after all of that my parents got something from me that I got them one day while shopping. Then I opened a box that was somewhat heavy. When that box was opened I found a new Xbox 360 in it that I was sure excited about. Then there was a couple of games and accessories that went with that gift. Then one of my favorite gifts, a new Ipad 3 for me. This was top on my list that I had created for this year and I was really excited. The last one was when my dad had metioned that there was something else that was in the garage. My brother and I started to search and undera tarp was a brand new TV for our basement. Our other one had died after having it for so long. After this was all over my family headed over to my Grandmother's house to have a wonderful brunch  and to open up more presents that were given among the family. This in fact was a Christmas that I will never forget.
